We are delighted to announce that Mr. Hussain Haroon, businessman, social activist and board member of various educational institutes, sports associations and charity organizations is the new Chairman of the Board of the Education Trust Nasra School. He replaces Mr. Iftikhar Soomro who previously held the position from 2001 till 2021.
We also welcome Dr. Farhan Essa, Managing Director and CEO of Dr Essa Laboratories and Diagnostic Center, one of the largest Medical Diagnostic chains in Sindh as new Trustee replacing Ms. Ameena Saiyid who was trustee of Nasra School from 2012 till 2021. Dr. Essa has been involved in various professional bodies that work towards improving the health care services in Pakistan serving as Chairman of the National Standing Committee of Hospital, Clinics, and Laboratories of FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Pakistan) and has received the “Top 100 CEOs of Pakistan Award” multiple times.
Mr. Towfiq Habib Chinoy has been appointed as the Honorary Financial Advisor to the Education Trust Nasra Schools. Mr. Chinoy has extensive professional experience and significant leadership accomplishments in business and philanthropy and is also known as a pioneer in the steel industry. His strong diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and building consensus among diverse individuals has led him to be on the Board of several companies.
Ms. Amima Sayeed is the new Academic Advisor to the Board. She is Director, Continuing Education Programme at the Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture (IVS), and education specialist with an impressive range of experience working in the development sector, focused principally on education sector policy, specially ECE, institutional research, analysis and development, visioning, defining strategic diremion, planning, monitoring and evaluation, quality frameworks, assessments, documenting pedagogy, outcomes, teacher training, educational partnerships and her knowledge of the international aid agencies, bilateral and multilateral.
