WAZIR ALI MEMORIAL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
THE LARGEST INTERSCHOOL TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION IN KARACHI
Named to honor (late) Nasra Wazir Ali's husband, (late) Malik Wazir Ali, our annual, inter-school table tennis competition began in 1993 and saw an exponential growth in popularity and participation. For the last 26 years, ETNS has proudly and successfully hosted what is by far the largest table tennis tournament of any schools in Karachi. Attracting the participation of over 40 schools, nearly 90 teams and 400 students (including 200 girls), this three-day event is held at Islamia Club and commands the attention of thousands of avid spectators along with media presence. Each year, we are delighted to welcome some of Pakistan's most influential and recognizable personalities as our Special Guests and Guests of Honor at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of our sports functions. NASRA HALL OF FAME
SPOTLIGHT: ARIF KHAN
An alumnus of Nasra School, international table tennis champion and coach, Arif Khan is hailed as one of the most accomplished Pakistani players of the sport. He represented the nation from 1974 - 1998, participating in eight biennial world championships, multiple Asian tournaments and innumerable Commonwealth table tennis competitions. Arif holds a record of becoming a three-time national champion in men's singles (1983, 1987, 1993), as well as securing several impressive gold medals at Kolkata SAF and Islamabad SAF games in 1987.
Still passionate about the sport, Arif Khan frequently lends our students his expertise at the Wazir Ali Memorial Table Tennis Tournament.
